KidsFitness 24/7 season tips off

The KidsFitness 24/7 youth basketball league tipped off its inaugural season Saturday at Union Hill School with a four-game slate of hoops action.
In the 11-13-year-old division, the Bootcamp Rapids took down the KidsFitness247 All-Stars, 43-23.
The Rapids showed how well an organized offense can work when the players are hitting their shots. Nathaniel Welch came out with a lot of energy and precise shooting for the Rapids, going 7-for-15 with 18 points and six steals.
Jean-Luc Lewis added six points, five rebounds and six steals. Dane Seuss had a defensive day with six rebounds and two blocks while scoring eight points. Ari Larsen Chipped in with eight points, and Nicoya Simning had great energy with seven points in the win.
For the All-Stars, Josh Smith, Jaycee Youngman and Aidan Keros all scored seven points.
Ironworks Bulldogs 34,
IHOP Grizzlies 9
The Ironworks Athletic Bulldogs were ready for this game as they showed with great energy on and off the court.
The Bulldogs played solid defense, which in turn led to good offense.
Jaden Cummings led the way with 11 points and five rebounds. Chase Peltzer hit 1-of-4 from 3-point land and finished with seven points and four rebounds. Jaycee Youngman had a strong performance with five points and four rebounds.
Despite the lopsided loss, the Grizzlies played with a lot of energy and never gave up on the game.
Molly Wingerd showed plenty of energy and enthusiasm, grabbing a team-high six rebounds to go with a steal and an assist. Trevor Gold, the Grizzlies point guard, tallied five steals, two rebounds and an assist. Myles Morgan, also shouldering some point guard duties, played well with four steals, and Ariana Ferguson used her height to pull down four rebounds.
Baskin Robbins Jazz 52,
Beach Hut Deli Sparkles 4
The opening game of the first kidsfitness247 Spring Basketball League may reflect a one-sided score but not for lack of effort, energy and gritty competitiveness especially by the all-girls team, the Beach Hut Deli Sparkles.
Bella Lyons, two points, three steals, two rebounds, bounced back from a big collision to show her toughness. The Sparkles simply would not give up, feverishly vying for every ball and fighting for rebounds in the paint. Scout Pettitt scored two points and grabbed five rebounds, Kylie Tyrell grabbed five boards and nabbed two steals, and Maya Hughes had a solid game with two rebounds and two steals.
The Baskin Robins Jazz were lead by Yaqub Mir with a game-high 20 points to go with eight steals and five rebounds.
The Jazz were well organized and put a lot of pressure on the Sparkles with Kevin Scanlon forcing eight steals to go with 14 points and eight rebounds. Gideon Simning added 10 points and five steals, Austin Fackell showed his defensive edge with an incredible 10 rebounds to go with six points.

Sole Sister's Blazers 9
The Sunset Travel Kings had an impressive 25 steals in the game, leading to a decisive 26-point victory.
Kaelin Matthews led the Kings with eight steals. Benn Glorfield led the Kings in scoring with 14 points to go with seven steals and two rebounds. Milo Goehring was a rebound hound with 11 boards to go with seven points and three assists.
Augustin Fleisher rebounded well for the Kings with seven and scored six points.
The Sole Shoe Blazers struggled, but as the season progresses, with their energy, things will continue to improve. Little dynamo Alex Eckerling has plenty of gas in the tank with his non-stop running and eager play. Keegan Henry starred for the Blazers with his constant driving to the basket, scoring nine points, grabbing eight rebounds and nabbing three steals. Avery Bias was solid on defense with six rebounds and two steals.
