FLC routs Victory Christian on homecoming night

It was homecoming night Friday at Forest Lake Christian, and the boys soccer team gave the home crowd a treat, scoring nine goals on its way to a seventh straight league win.

The Falcons got production from everybody on the team as they walloped Victory Christian 9-1 on their celebratory night.

FLC scoring machine Logan Ray tallied a hat trick and then some. Ray finished with a team-high four goals and two assists.

Senior captain Hunter Semen added two goals, Scott Gauthier netted a goal and had two assists, Daniel Marriott tallied a goal, and Owen Swinney had an assist. Even FLC goalie Kyle Soria ventured out into the field and netted a goal.

Leading the defense was Sean Kadera with 16 steals, Daniel Cuneo took 14 balls away from Victory Christian, Jason Foster stole 10, and Tyler Young pilfered nine.

The Falcons are now 13-4-1 overall and 7-0 in Central Valley California League play. They have already clinched the league title and have two regular season games left before playoffs. Forest Lake Christian will take on Faith Christian Monday and wraps the CVCL and regular season Wednesday against Cristo Rey.
