The Forest Lake Christian baseball team started the Central Valley California League season off on the right foot Monday, beating Delta 3-1 on the Saints’ home diamond. Falcon ace Hunter Phillips pitched a complete game, allowing one unearned run and striking out seven along the way. Wils Riley and Jacob Yarborough each went 1-for-3 from the plate, and Daniel Cuneo tallied an RBI in the win.
