The Nevada Union golf team opened Sierra Foothill League play on the right foot Thursday, taking down Rocklin 194-204. The Miners were led by Logan Lowe and Bert Heinzelman, both shooting a 35. Derek Frank was next for NU with a 38, Andrew Puleo was fourth for the Miners with 41 and Brad Carrion rounded things out with a 45. The win keeps NU’s record unblemished at 6-0 and 1-0 in the SFL.
