With two impressive wins in weekend action, the Gold Country Stampede rose to the top of the Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association North Division with a perfect 3-0 record. On Saturday, the Stampede’s varsity squad hosted the Sierra Foothill Eagles at Nevada Union’s Hooper Stadium in their second league game of the year. Although visiting teams usually love to play at NU because of the beautiful setting and the quality of the field, the game on Saturday could not have gone worse for the Eagles.
