Bear River falls to Lincoln in PVL opener

Multiple errors and an inability get hits in the clutch hurt Bear River’s baseball team Wednesday as the Bruins dropped their Pioneer Valley League opener to Lincoln, 11-5. Bear River (1-6, 0-1 PVL) tallied 11 hits on its home turf, including a mammoth home run over the center field fence by senior Travis Anderson, but five errors and six unearned runs were the Bruins undoing. “You can’t give a team five errors,” Bear River head coach Dahorl Ennis said. “You take away the errors we probably win the game.
