NU placed second overall in the California Nevada Interscholastic Ski and Snowboard Federation’s state championships last week at Mt. Shasta after four crazy days of competition on the dormant volcano. Combined, the ski and snowboard teams finished with 2,365 points, falling just nine points short to Davis High School. When the snow boarders raced Monday (Mar. 4) and Tuesday it was literally dirt and ice. The skiers arrived Wednesday to 30 new inches of heavy powder.
