On a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Mather Field, the Gold Country Stampede varsity lacrosse team overwhelmed Rio City, 17-4, in the opening match of league play. The offensive onslaught was led by senior Luke Agness and sophomore Derek Adelman with five goals each. Many goals were the result of nifty passing and assists before finding the net. J.T. Mortara had three goals and Tony Richardson, Morgan Hansen, Colby Glass and Ryan Owen each scored to round out the offensive barrage.
