Bear River, the top seed in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV girls basketball playoffs, will look to continue its quest toward a section championship today against No. 9 seed Dixon. The Lady Bruins (24-3) earned their spot in the second round Tuesday after throttling the Hilmar Yellowjackets, 63-31. Dixon (19-8) made its way to the second round with a 60-43 victory over No. 8 seed Sonora. The Lady Rams average 50.7 points per game this season and are led offensively by Madison Dwelley. The 5-foot, 10-inch senior guard averages 8.2 points per game, 4.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals. …
