The Bear River girls basketball team opened the 2012-13 season Monday with a Foundation game victory over Dixon. The Lady Bruins, back after a stellar 2011-12 season in which they won a share of the Pioneer Valley League title and made a deep run in the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs, held off the Rams, 46-41, to move to 1-0.
