The Nevada Union boys basketball team used staunch defense Monday night to defeat El Dorado, 49-39, in a Foundation game at Albert Ali Gymnasium. In his first start on the varsity squad, junior Nolan Stefani scored a team-high 14 points, including three 3-pointers. The Miners held El Dorado to just 18 points in the first half and put the game away in the third quarter with a 19-5 run. Stefani scored seven of his 14 points in the third.
