Bear River notches several top-10 finishes at x-country meet

At the second Pioneer Valley League cross country meet of the season, this time at Colfax High School, Bear River’s girls team gave Placer a scare, but in the end, the Hillgals ran away with a five-point victory. Mary Nattrass led the Lady Bruins with a dominating race and a first-place overall finish with a time of 21 minutes and 8 seconds. Strong performances from Kimmy Pugel, sixth, Sierra Mitchell, eighth, Cecilia Malik, ninth, Hallie Pettitt, 10th, Rachel Olsen, 19th, and Jessica Meylor, 22nd, rounded out the girls varsity team.
