Miners look to roll Thunder in SFL opener

With the Sierra Foothill League season kicking off tonight at Hooper Stadium, the Nevada Union football team will look to top a much-improved Rocklin squad and open league play with a win for the first time since joining the SFL in 2010. In last season’s SFL finale, Rocklin pushed the Miners to the brink, but NU didn’t break, responding with a 30-27 overtime victory.
