Junior Miners still in search of first win

The Nevada Union Junior Miners, junior pee wee division, led by head coach Ty Conway, hosted a staunch opponent in the Capitol Christian Junior Cougars Saturday at Hooper Stadium. NU entered the game looking for its first win of the season but will have to wait another week as the Cougars defeated the Junior Miners soundly, 32-0. “Their defensive line and linebackers were some of the toughest we’ve seen this year,” said NU coach Mike Meyer.
