A memorial service will be held at noon Friday, Aug. 3, at Pioneer United Methodist Church, 1338 Lincoln Way, Auburn, for Richard J. Welch. A reception and military honors will follow at the Auburn Veterans Memorial Hall, 100 East St., Auburn. Mr. Welch, of Grass Valley, passed away July 22 after a brief illness. He was 76.Mr. Welch was born to Jack and Hazel A. Welch in San Francisco.
