A swift response from local firefighters were all that stood in the way of a Grass Valley car dealership losing some of its inventory to a vegetation fire. Around midnight Monday, a 1-acre vegetation fire broke out in the forest behind Liberty Motors, located in the 600 block of Freeman Lane in Grass Valley, said Nevada County Consolidated Fire District Battalion Chief Jim Turner.
