Grass Valley's North Star property could get national and state historic designation on Friday.The California State Historical Resources Commission will consider 10 properties Friday in Sacramento, including the North Star House.The commission included North Star because it was designed by architect Julia Morgan one year after starting her career, demonstrating a "sophisticated grasp of the First Bay Tradition," according to the commission.
