Services for Marvin Woodrow Odom of Grass Valley will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Burial will be at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City. Mr. Odom died Monday, Jan. 21, in Auburn. He was 72. He was born Jan. 23, 1929, in Brighton, Ala., to Howard and Gladys Odom. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1952. He graduated from Murietta-Johnson School in Fairhope, Ala., and from California State University at Sacramento with a BA in education in 1969.
