Ryan Scott Ehrlich aka: Garlic
July 30, 2013
Ryan Scott Ehrlich, better known as "Garlic" to those who knew him, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, due to a tragic accident.
A small, intimate family service was held on July 16, 2013.
Ryan was the kind of guy you either liked or loved. He was young at heart, very exuberant and truly a free spirit. He loved music, cooking, bear claws, fashion and simply being in the town that he called home. He became a well-known face and voice in Nevada City. He embodied individuality, lived in the moment and was a true representative of the free spirited core of the community.
He was loved by many and will be missed by many. He leaves behind his loving mother, Joan Hardin-Dunbar; and is survived by several family members, including grandmother, Geneva Hardin; uncles and aunts Henry and Sherry Fiser and Jim and Evie Hardin; uncle, Ron Hardin; aunt, Pat Hardin-Alexander; and cousins Joe Hill, Jolene Hardin and Ron Hardin. Also to be acknowledged are the people of the community who support the homeless, and last but not least, Ryan's close friends.
Donations in the memory of Ryan, for his headstone, can be forwarded to Joan Dunbar, 101 West McKnight Way, #B-157, Grass Valley, CA 95949.
Arrangements are in the care of Chapel of the Angels in Grass Valley.
