Obituary of Debra Diane Dunham

Debbie was born on March 6, 1956, in Concord, California, and moved to Nevada County with her family in 1959 where she spent most of her life. Debbie attended the Gold Flat School for Special Education before transitioning to the working world at The Neighborhood Center of the Arts. Her favorite art form at the Center was weaving. Having Down Syndrome meant Debbie was very special. She was a very loving and happy person who always remembered your name and always had a hug ready to give. She loved to giggle and dance and sing her favorite songs for you. Her love and laughter and freedom to be herself will be greatly missed. Heaven is her new home where she joined her father David

Dunham, her brother Dennis (Dusty) Dunham and her nephew Levi Nies. She is survived by her mother, Glenda Dunham of Grass Valley; sisters, Nancy Dunham Sagadin( Jim) of Brookings, Oregon, Donna Dunham Nies (Paul) of Cedar Ridge; brother David Dunham (Lisa) of Nevada City; nieces and nephews, Jessica Nies, Samuel Nies, Cassie Mead, Carina Quinn, Erin Lamb, David Dunham, Sierra Haack, Rebecca Haack, Laci Dunham, Jason Sagadin and Nathan Sagadin; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and more friends than can be counted. A celebration of life will be held on Debbie's favorite day – her birthday, March 6th. For details, contact one of the family members.
