Jeffrey Scott Evans of Grass Valley, Calif., passed into the presence of his Lord and savior Jesus Christ after a tragic car accident Nov. 25, 2012. He was 53.
A memorial service will take place 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at First Baptist Church on Ridge Road in Grass Valley. A reception will take place immediately following. Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Jeff's life.
Jeff was born in Sacramento Feb. 6, 1959. He moved with his family to Grass Valley in 1972. He graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1976 where he played football. After working for various jobs in the electronics field, he decided to further his career by obtaining his BSEE from Sacramento State University, graduating in 1989. He worked for Grass Valley Group until 1997, when he went to work for NVision which is now Miranda a Belden Co. where he had been employed for 15 years. He was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church in Grass Valley. Jeff enjoyed home improvement activities, camping and traveling with his wife, Susan, and dog Jake. His life and love for others was a reflection of his walk with Christ. He will be missed.
Jeff's family was important to him. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 19 years, Susan Leslie Evans; his son, Stan Andrasz, and his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Stephanie Anderson, and her husband, Erik. He was Papa to six beloved grandchildren, Madeline, Cassidy, Violet, Seth, Chloe and Daisy, who will miss him a lot. He will also be missed by his parents, Ray and Grace Evans, his siblings, Pam Davis, Greg Evans, Debbie Hanson, Rindy Hubka, Ted Evans and Sherry Harms, and numerous other relatives.
