Floreen Laughren Blackmarr passed away on March 1, 2014. She was 85.
A celebration and memorial service will be at 3 p.m. April 4, 2014, at the Berea Christian Church in Hampton, Ga.
She was born Dec. 9, 1928, in Shawville, Quebec, Canada, to William and Rose Brownlee.
Floreen graduated from Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in Renfrew, Ontario, Canada, in 1952 and was a Registered Nurse in Canada until 1969 and an LPN instructor at Southern Crescent Technical College (formerly Griffin Tech) in Griffin, Ga., until her retirement in 1989.
On Aug. 16, 1954, she married Chester Laughren in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. He passed away in 1986.
In December 1988, she married Collins Blackmarr in Hampton, Ga.
Floreen was a member of the Berea Christian Church in Hampton, Ga.
She is survived by her sister, Wilma MacLean of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; brothers Boyd Brownlee of Shawville, Hansel Brownlee of Quyon, Quebec, Canada and Joseph Brownlee of Shawville; son Peter Laughren of Hampton, Ga.; daughter Lisa Andrews of Grass Valley, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Michael, Denzil and Sara.
Floreen was preceded in death by her first husband, Chester Laughren.

Arrangements are under the care of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
