Donald Harlan Crowell passed away peacefully Oct. 12, 2013. He was just shy of his 88th Birthday.

Donald's interment, with full military honors, will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at the Sacramento Valley National Memorial Cemetery for Veterans.
Donald was born October 19, 1925 in Berkley, Calif. to Melvin and Ida Crowell. He graduated from Berkley High School. In 1943 at the age of 18 he joined the US Navy and served his Country honorably.
Donald "Tiger" Crowell was a Berkeley firefighter for 26 years and was very proud of his profession. He and his former wife, Jean, raised four children.
He moved to Grass Valley (around 1989) and soon thereafter met his wife, Naydean. They spent many happy years together. Don was never one to be idle, so instead of staying retired, he opted to work at Milhous Ranch where he was the fix it guy. Don loved to tinker, build & fix things and in his day restored many antique cars.
Donald is survived by his wife, Naydean; his half siblings, Sherry Lynn & Jason; his children, Steve, Bruce, Jan & Ron; grandchildren, Jeremy, Courtney, Ryan, Melissa, Ron, and Jenny and great grandchildren, Miles and Dylan.
Donald & Naydean have always been very active in their church and with family including Naydean's children, Lynn, Britt, Karen, Diane & Kevin, along with their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be missed by all.
