Craig Dockter passed away peacefully at his home July 16, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by several friends and loved ones at his profound exit. He was 59.

Craig was born Sept. 6, 1953, in Lodi, Calif., to Grace and Otto Dockter. He married Yvonne June 17, 1979, and moved to Paradise, Calif., in 1982, where he worked as a production superintendent at Pacific Coast Producers after studying microbiology at UC Davis. In 1983, they moved to Nevada City.
Craig enjoyed his life and shared his exuberance with all of those he met. His spiritual path was SRF (Self-Realization Fellowship). He was a truly devoted Yogi since his college days, practicing the lessons of meditation daily. He would go out of his way to help anyone. He was a supportive and loving husband and father with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed volunteering at Folsom Prison, talking and mainly listening to the inmates. He also volunteered at Loaves and Fishes.
Craig is survived by his wife of 35 years, Yvonne; two sons, Matthew and Harrison Dockter; two younger brothers, Brian (Tara) Dockter and Mark Dockter; nephew Liam; and niece Grace Marie.
He very much loved the community and so appreciated all of the help and support he and his family received. Love is all there is.
