Adele Margaret Taylor passed away Oct. 18, 2012, at Golden Empire Nursing Home in Grass Valley. Calif. She was 98.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Oct. 25, 2012, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery on West Main Street in Grass Valley, Calif. Pastor Mike from First Baptist Church in Grass Valley will be officiating.
Adele was born Jan. 14, 1914, in West Terre Haute, Ind., to Ralph Atkinson and Juliet Bisiaux Atkinson. She went to school in West Terre Haute, Ind. On Sept. 9, 1934, she married Jack M. Taylor in Sparks, Nev. Adele worked for 23 years at Springhill Manor as a CNA. She loved going to work to be with the patients. She also loved working in her yard, writing poetry and her shopping trips to SPD every Sunday morning, visiting with the employees.
Adele is survived by her brother, Ernest Atkinson, of Gilcrest, Ore; sister, Jeanne Rutherford of Grass Valley, Calif., Sharon (Tom) Threlkeld of Whitefish, Mont.; son, John (Julie) Taylor of Nevada City, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jack Taylor; daughter, Juliet Taylor; parents, Ralph and Juliet Atkinson; brothers, Edward, Emile and Paul.
