On Oct. 27, 2013, Warren Boehmer passed away peacefully in the comforts of his home in Penn Valley, Calif.
A private memorial and burial will occur at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif.
Warren was born March 14, 1922, in Black Creek, Pa., to Edwin A. and Blanche Boehmer. Warren was the third of five children.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1939 at 17 years old. He served in WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. After his military service, he worked as a distributing manager for a grocery chain in Fresno, Calif. Warren was loved and admired for his great sense of humor, musical talent on the organ and profound love of golf. He found it heaven living on the 16th hole in Lake Wildwood.
Warren is survived by his wife, Sammie; daughters Saundra Grandeer and Mary Aileen Stone; three grandchildren Dorothy Hudson, Debra Wilson and Mark Stone; four great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna; his son, Allen; four siblings and his parents.
Arrangements are in the care of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
