Police blotter: Oreo thief, poisoned dog

Sunday

8:56 a.m. — A woman from Joyce Drive and Whiting Street reported someone possibly living in a Jeep.

10:49 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Sierra College Drive reported an escaped resident, who was returned.

12:31 p.m. — A caller form the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man beating a dog.

6:13 p.m. — A caller from Pleasant and Chapel streets reported a man in a bloody T-shirt who said he had punched himself and seemed suicidal. He could not be located.

6:13 p.m. — A caller from Jenkins Street and French Avenue reported a possible prowler.

6:19 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glenwood Avenue reported an ongoing issue with loud music, with the bass turned up very high. The music was turned down.

6:21 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Empire Street reported a man tried to steal a bicycle. A man was arrested on suspicion of loitering, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia.

6:46 p.m. — A caller from East Main Street and Joerschke Drive reported a man stole lumber from a construction site and left on foot.

8:12 p.m. — A caller from East Main Street and Dorsey Drive reported loud and constant barking.

8:24 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and West McKnight Way reported a person walking on the freeway, who was admonished.

10:14 p.m. — A caller from Lake Almanor reported fraudulent charges re being made on his credit cards in Grass Valley.

8:55 a.m. — A caller from East Bennett Road reported cars and multiple tents have been set up.

9:52 a.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Knights Court reported a person in his residence tearing it up. No charges were desired.

10:51 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Hummingbird Lane reported the theft of credit cards last night with the person trying to use them this morning. The person also reported the theft of a purse from a vehicle.

11:50 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Banner Quaker Hill Road reported a dog appeared to have been poisoned.

12:14 p.m. — A caller from the 20000 block of Johnston Drive reported the theft of a gun two weeks ago.

12:26 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Squirrel Creek Road reported a boy stole Oreos and a drink from a store. He could not be located.

12:43 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Carrie Drive reported a burglary of a boat.

4:08 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Shady Oak Drive reported the unauthorized use of a debit card.

5:57 p.m. — A caller from Hudson Way and Trailhead Road reported people in a vehicle using drugs; it could not be located.

7:31 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Foster Road reported a physical fight; a child said his mother was attacking them. A report was taken.

8:31 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Gold Hill Drive reported a physical fight with injuries. No charges were requested.

9:48 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Homeward Lane reported hearing a gunshot.

11:43 p.m. — A caller from the 20000 block of Scotts Flat Road reported a possible assault.

7:34 a.m. — A an from the 15000 block of Brooks Road reported two dogs just took down one of his goats.

1:45 p.m. — A man from Woodpecker Lane reported a person took an urn with ashes, a box of coins and other items a week ago, was supposed to return the items but didn’t.

9:15 p.m. — A caller from Spring and Finley streets reported a dog barking for hours.

Sunday

12:09 p.m. — A caller from East Broad Street reported a group of juveniles possibly digging in the cemetery; they were cleaning.

Monday

1:03 a.m. — A caller from Spring Street reported four people in a physical fight with one person unconscious on the ground. No one was located.

5:47 a.m. — A caller from Main Street reported the theft of a stereo from a side porch.
