Traffic stop ends in drug arrest for Nevada City man

A Nevada City man allegedly stopped for an expired registration sticker on his vehicle ended up in jail on drug charges as well.

A Nevada County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over the man, identified as Robert Paul LeBlanc, 40, just before 2 p.m. Sunday. The deputy allegedly smelled marijuana during the traffic stop.

LeBlanc allegedly did not have a driver’s license on him, and his license came back as being suspended.

A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered three baggies of marijuana totaling 338 grams.

LeBlanc was arrested on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and transporting marijuana and was being held in lieu of $11,080 bail.
