Anne Silvera passed away on April 21, 2013, in Grass valley with her family by her side. She was 87.

Anne was born in Sunnyvale on Nov. 15, 1925. She worked as a legal secretary for many years. She then took a few years off to raise her son. She returned to work at the Sunnyvale School District in food services. She loved working with children.
Anne married Clarence (Buddy) Silvera on Sept. 14, 1947. They were happily married for 50 years until his passing in 1997.
They enjoyed traveling in their motor home, camping and dancing. Anne had a passion for music and danced whenever she had a chance. They also never missed an auto race at the San Jose Fairgrounds or here in Grass Valley, watching their son race at The Ernie Pursell Raceway.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Cheryl) Silvera of Alta Sierra; grandsons, Chris Silvera of Roseville; and Mike Silvera of Colfax.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Marceliana Dejea; husband, Buddy; brother;, Peter Dejea; and infant daughter, Carole Anne.
The family would like to take this opportunity to give a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Quail Ridge Senior Living. This was her home for eight years. They took wonderful care in her declining years. She was known as the resident dancer.
