Stellar youth head up fire safety program for low income seniors

Recently I had the great pleasure of witnessing a group of young people work together clearing brush around my home. They were volunteers with the “Fire Safe Council of Nevada County.” It was incredible how well these young folks worked together, in such a cooperative manner. They made my place look like a park. I live in a very heavy laden brush area on the upper San Juan Ridge. I applied for their (S.N.A.P.) program for low income seniors and physically disabled persons. If these young people are any indication of the future, and how people should act, our country will go forth in great shape. I have much more hope for the future, and people like them will truly shape it. Kudos for this program, its existence and expansion will depend on our county’s generosity, as they do need more funds. This program will more than likely improve on the fire safety of our over-fueled county.
