Congratulations on the front page story on Dr. Newsom’s retirement.

I am currently a patient of Dr. Campbell, and have had the distinct privilege of meeting Dr. Newsom several times. My Aug. 14 cancer surgery was performed by Dr. Statten. My wife is a six-year cancer survivor, having received radiation treatments through the Cancer Center.

I want to thank The Union for being so supportive of Sierra Nevada Hospital and continuing that support after Mr. Ackerman left.
