Beverly M. Marlow “Bev” passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Grass Valley. She was 82.

Bev was born Nov. 23, 1931 in Grand Junction, Colo., to Thomas Mitchell Brumback and Mabel Ovena Davis. She married Richard E. Marlow on June 25, 1950 in Grand Junction, Colo. In 1953, she traveled to Germany to be with her husband who was stationed in the army. She resided in Pico Riviera, Calif., Pinole, Calif. then moved to Nevada City in 1999.
Beverly was the office manager of CONAM Inspection (a non-destructive testing company, now Areva) where she worked for over 25 years. She was an active member of the Berkeley Water Ski Club and the first female president; a member of the American Water Ski Association; President of the PTA and a member of the Golden Empire Flying Association.
Bev was a very busy and lively woman, she enjoyed entertaining, shopping, gardening, reading and flying with her husband, Dick. She and her husband, travel extensively worldwide from the Great Wall of China, a motor home trip across New Zealand, many trips to Spain, and Europe, multiple cruises and all across the U.S. She was a former National competitive water skier with her husband and children and one of the first to kite water ski in the 1960’s.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Karyl Marlow; daughter, Cathy Marlow Simonetto and grandchildren, Brian, Philip and Eric Marlow and Stefana and Elle Ana Simonetto; her sisters, Barbara Wolford and Bonnie Matheson and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Marlow, sister, Billie Dugas; brother, Michael Brumback and parents.
