The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is calling on all local posts of veteran service organizations for assistance to distribute the book entitled, “Korea Reborn: A Grateful Nation Honors War Veterans for 60 Years of Growth.” The book is free to Korean War veterans and their families. The books were published and donated to CalVet by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to commemorate the Korean War’s 60-year anniversary. The photos and text tell the story of the Korean War from the perspective of U.S. Veterans who served in the conflict and the Koreans who prospered from the freedom left in their wake.
