Grass Valley Council Member Jan Arbuckle completes academy

The League of California Cities, the organization that has provided education to California city officials for 115 years, announces that Grass Valley Council Member Jan Arbuckle has achieved the Leadership in Action Level in the Mayors and Council Members Department’s Leadership Academy.

Arbuckle is a member of the League board of directors, has served on the public safety, employee relations and administrative services policy committees, as well as the board of the League’s Sacramento Valley division.

The Mayors and Council Members Academy is an educational program for mayors and council members who are interested in continuing education to enhance their knowledge and skills to better serve the public. The voluntary program consists of three levels: Leadership, Advanced Leadership and Leadership in Action. Arbuckle was recognized for her achievement during the League’s Annual Conference in Sacramento, Sept. 18-20, where she received a certificate and a special pin.

“Staying involved in the policy making process with the League of California Cities and participating in specialized trainings for local officials makes me a better public servant. I’m proud to serve the residents of Grass Valley and strive to be as knowledgeable as possible,” said Arbuckle.
