Community Recovery Resources (CoRR), a nonprofit organization serving both Placer and Nevada County, has hired a new medical director, Christina Lasich. Lasich replaces Dr. Aaron Cleveland, the former medical director, whose expertise was of great benefit to CoRR’s clients.
Lasich was raised in Sierra Nevada foothills, and brings a strong commitment to serve CoRR’s mission to support communities with a full spectrum of programs focused towards reducing the impact on our families and children from all types of substance abuse. She graduated with honors from the University of California Davis School of Medicine in 1997 and went into the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the UC Davis Medical Center. In 2001, Lasich opened her private practice in Grass Valley, which focuses on caring for those who experience chronic pain, chemical dependency and addiction.
Lasich’s private practice will remain open, but she will also practice at CoRR’s new recovery campus in Grass Valley.
CoRR has been providing services in the region since 1974, and this past year opened the doors at The Campus, a model wellness center in Grass Valley. The Campus will provide a full range of services for those with substance abuse, related behavioral health issues, and accompanying medical conditions, promoting wellness and recovery through prevention, treatment and aftercare services. The environmentally friendly facility includes an outpatient center with childcare and preschool, a fitness center and space for alternative therapies, and residential and transitional housing for individuals and families.
