Spring concert at Sierra College Rocklin campus

The Sierra College Music Department is presenting a Spring Band Concert 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Dietrich Theatre on the Sierra College Rocklin campus.

Join Greg McLaughlin and the Sierra College Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony as they present an evening of standard and contemporary symphonic music that celebrates the rich history of the American band idiom. Works to be performed include “Suite of Old American Dances,” by Robert Russell Bennett, “King Cotton,” by John Philip Sousa, Frank Ticheli’s arrangement of “Shenandoah” and Daniel Kallman’s “A Visit With Old Joe.”

Sierra College is located at 5000 Rocklin Road. Admission is $6 student/senior and $10 general. Tickets are available at the door. All proceeds benefit the Sierra College Music Department. There is a $3 parking fee on campus. Parking permits can be purchased at machines located within the campus parking lot.
