Estate workshop set for next week

Estate preservation will be the focus of an upcoming workshop hosted by the Sierra-Nevada Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The free 45-minute educational workshop, called “Estate Strategy Essentials,” will take place noon Tuesday in the new Fellowship Center of Peace Lutheran Church, 828 W. Main St. in Grass Valley. The workshop features guest speakers financial consultant Kent R. Suemnicht, FIC, and financial associate Beverly A. Suemnicht, CLU, FIC, with the Sierra Foothills Group of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in Auburn. The “Estate Strategy Essentials” workshop helps participants understand the three essential elements of any good estate strategy: wills, durable/financial powers of attorney, living wills/medical powers of attorney. As a result of attending the workshop, attendees will be better prepared to take action to protect their estates and pass them on according to their wishes.

“Having proper estate planning documents in place, such as wills, trusts and powers of attorney, can save families a great deal of financial and emotional stress,” says Suemnicht. “This workshop offers tools to help people make smart, informed decisions about protecting their estates according to their wishes.”

To register for this free workshop, call the Sierra Foothills office at 530-886-8222 or email kent.suemnicht@thrivent.com by Friday.

A light complimentary lunch will be served.
