A Grass Valley man who ran a red light was arrested on drug sales charges after officers reportedly found a large amount of meth in his car. John Douglas Garris, 42, was driving on Nevada City Highway near Gates Place just after midnight Monday when he was pulled over for failing to stop at the light, said Grass Valley Police Capt. Rex Marks. Garris appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, marijuana and other depressants, Marks said. A search of his person and vehicle allegedly uncovered a number of small plastic baggies containing approximately 14 grams of suspected methamphetamine. …
