Eric Kenyon, SFG, FMS, of Form is Function and local functional nutritionist Victoria LaFont are offering a day-long workshop on bone health. The Bone Workshop will be focused on how to effectively keep your skeletal system vital and healthy, while also teaching those with issues such as osteopenia or osteoporosis how to reverse the diagnosis and regain normal bone structure.
The day long workshop will be held at Aikido’Ka, 142 E McKnight Way in Grass Valley, and will run from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 23. Participants are asked to bring a light lunch and wear loose clothing. The cost of the event is $75, though no one will be turned away.
Eric Kenyon will explain and demonstrate the importance of movement and exercise for optimal bone health and strength. You will see demonstrations of the most effective and efficient exercises for building bone density. We will discuss how much exercise is required, and ideal frequency of training. We will also demonstrate exercise for balance, fall prevention, fall survival, and body resilience.
Victoria LaFont, NTP and Certified GAPS Practitioner will introduce the most appropriate dietary and lifestyle improvements needed to create healthy bones. Specific nutrition guidelines, common nutrient oversights, and simple day to day menu choices will be discussed.
