Cops, firefighters honor ‘hero’ FedEx driver

Amy Stapleton-Horn and her rescuer. Scott Teuscher, didn’t say a word during the ceremony honoring Teuscher at Saturday’s Red Light Ball. But their wide grins spoke for them, as Teuscher presented the petite Grass Valley woman with a spray of red roses and, in turn was presented with a Public Safety Commitment Award by Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal and Grass Valley Fire Chief Tony Clarabut. “I gotta say, this man’s a true hero,” Royal said before handing Teuscher the plaque.
