A Grass Valley man remains in critical condition Friday after he was hit by a car when crossing an intersection. Around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Thomas Shea, 63, was reportedly crossing contrary to a pedestrian signal on Tinloy Street near the Highway 49 ramps when he was struck by a southbound Nissan Infiniti that was proceeding through a green light, according to a Grass Valley Police Department investigation of witnesses. “The pedestrian crossing had the red “Do not cross” sign illuminated,” said Sgt.
