During November and early December, the United Way of Nevada County coordinated a collection drive of new socks and gloves to be donated to the homeless of Nevada County. There was a generous outpouring of donated items from the community. With the help of local businesses, such as JC Penney, Walker’s Office Supplies, B&C True Value Home & Garden Center, Networked Insurance, the county courthouse, Telestream, TriContinent, schools and other individuals, our community came together to donate a large quantity of new socks, gloves, hats and scarves to the homeless of Nevada County.
