Computer center announces free user group

The Gold Country Computer Learning Center is hosting a free user group from 10 a.m. to noon Friday. The topic is “Windows 8 is here!”

Anyone planning to purchase a new PC, upgrade from Windows 7 or XP or buy the new Microsoft Surface Tablet will want to attend.

Join in as presenters Larry Naskrent and Jim March discuss the features of Windows 8, including tiles and charms, when to use the Windows key, present a demonstration of some of the screens and learn how this product supports traditional mouse and keyboard computers, as well as touch screens.

Gold Country Computer Learning Center is a Nevada County 501-C-3 nonprofit located at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, Gate 2, in Ponderosa Hall. We are an all-volunteer organization and offer classes and private tutoring for all levels of computer expertise.
