Empire Mine Park Association docents are busy making historic Bourn Cottage look its best for the holidays. Each year, “Holidays at Empire Mine” is a popular event. There will be lavish, turn-of-the-century decorations, special Gold Star cookies and hot, spiced cider being given away in the kitchen. Traditional Celtic music will be played by the String Sisters, as local history comes to life again. New costumes, plus a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus (in the Clubhouse) add to the festivities.
