As a result of increased enrollment, Ready Springs Elementary School in Penn Valley has added an additional teacher and reduced class sizes in third, fourth and fifth grade classes, according to a news release from district officials. At a recent school board meeting, trustees approved the addition of a 75 percent full-time teacher position. This teacher will work with the fourth grade class in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. All third, fourth and fifth grade students will work together in the afternoon during physical education, technology and enrichment classes. Heather McMurray has been hired to fill this position. …
