No excuse for past practices

Congress should not retroactively give immunity to phone companies or anyone else who may have broken the law in the past. The role of the U.S. Congress is to create new laws. The role of the Judicial branch is to decide whether or not laws were broken " including the need for FISA warrants.

Yes, we must protect national security in the future. But that is no excuse for past practices. Anyone who argues otherwise is just a bully.
