Nevada County roadwork projects through Aug. 30


In Grass Valley, Dorsey Drive, between Spree Avenue and Pampas Drive, will be subject to traffic control for paving Aug. 26-29. The Traffic Control System will utilize one-way traffic control between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (weather permitting). Every effort will be made to accommodate motorists in a timely manner; however delays of up to 10 minutes may be possible. Please observe all construction signs and the instructions of onsite personnel. At the East Main Street and Dorsey Drive intersection, signals will be set to red light flashing Aug. 28-29. The work will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (weather permitting).

Long-term projects

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at Rollins Lake Road/Magra Road (Exit 139): Westbound motorists can expect a long-term closure of the on and off-ramps through Oct. 1. A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous structure work. Motorists are advised to Secret Town interchange as the alternate route.

Aug. 24-28 — Interstate 80 (Placer County) at Magra Road: Motorists can expect the east and westbound No. 1 lanes closed from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous structure work.

Short-term projects

Highway 20 (Nevada County) from Nevada Street to White Cloud Campground: Motorists can expect intermittent one-way traffic controls from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do tree work.

Highway 49 (Sierra County) from Yuba Pass Campground to State Route 89: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to clean ditches.

Highway 49 (Yuba and Sierra counties) from Camptonville to Loganville Campground: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 7:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.

Highway 49 (Nevada County) from Ponderosa Pines to Lady Jane Road: Motorists can expect the northbound No. 2 lane closed from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous electrical work.

Highway 49 (Nevada County) from Crestview Drive to Uren Street: Motorists can expect various lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do tree work.

Highway 49 (Nevada County) from W. Broad Street to Old Downieville Highway: Motorists can expect various lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do tree work.

Highway 49 (Placer County) from Elm-Harrison Street to Joeger Road: Motorists can expect various north and southbound lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to paving work.

Highway 49 (Placer County) from Lincoln Way to the El Dorado County line: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 7 p.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do concrete work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Fiberboard undercrossing to the Truckee Scales: Motorists can expect the eastbound No. 1 lanes closed from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from end of Chain on area to the Hinton Road undercrossing: Motorists can expect the eastbound No. 1 lane closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Floriston to Hinton: Motorists can expect the east and westbound No. 1 lanes closed from 7 p.m. to noon Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do grinding operations.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) at Soda Springs: Motorists can expect the east and westbound No. 1 lanes closed from midnight Monday through 8 a.m. Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Alta Road to Drum Forebay: Motorists can expect the east and westbound No. 2 lanes closed from 7 p.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do concrete work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Weimar Cross Road to Placer Hills Road: Motorists can expect the east and westbound No. 1 lanes closed from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Elm Avenue to Russell Road: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lanes closed from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Highway 267 (Nevada County) from Interstate 80 to Soaring Way/Brockway Road: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.
