Computer Learning Center to address privacy, Android Operating System

This month’s presentation of the User Group meeting at Gold Country Computer Learning Center will feature two timely topics.

In the first hour, speakers will address privacy and data gathering on the Web. Guest speakers will demonstrate how to find out what information is collected, and what tools are available to monitor the trackers.

The second hour is a discussion of the Android Operating System. Many manufacturers of smartphones and tablets use Android as the underlying operating system.

With so many devices and versions of Android on the market, it is no wonder that many of us look to others for help learning about our devices.

The presentation will be an open discussion led by a moderator. Members of the audience are invited to bring their Android smartphones and tablets, and share their knowledge and experiences.

It is also an opportunity to ask questions and find out what others have learned. The meeting will be from 10 a.m. to noon June 13. The meeting is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated.

Gold Country Computer Learning Center is a nonprofit organization located in Ponderosa Hall, Gate 2, at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
