Multiple fire agencies responded to a possible escaped debris burn Monday morning, sending five engines to the blaze.
Fire units responded for a report of a vegetation fire in the 13000 block of La Barr Meadows Road with an imminent structure threat at 11:45 a.m., said Grass Valley Fire Battalion Chief Steve Smith.
Multiple agencies made a quick coordinated attack to keep the fire to approximately one acre and prevent any damage to structures. Five engines from Grass Valley, Nevada County Consolidated and Cal Fire responded to the incident.
The fire is believed to have started from an escaped debris burn. The fire burned through mostly dry grass and blackberries. Crews remained at the scene approximately three hours mopping up. There were no injuries.
