Two local businesses donate to spay/neuter fund

It’s kitten season, the time of year when cats give birth, flooding animal shelters and rescue groups across the nation with homeless litters.

Kitten season is three seasons in one, starting in spring, peaking in late spring or early summer and ending in autumn.

To combat the many kittens without homes that will be born in Nevada County, Miss Paleo baking mixes and CrossFit Gold Rush are teaming up.

For the month of April, whenever any person signs up with CrossFit Gold Rush or purchases Miss Paleo mixes, a portion of the sales will be donated to the Grass Valley Animal Shelter spay/neuter fund.
